Meeting of Steering Committee for Solarization of Agriculture Tube-Wells in Balochistan
Meeting of Steering Committee for Solarization of Agriculture Tube-Wells in Balochistan under the chairmanship of Mr. Ishaq Dar, the Deputy Prime Minister. Mr. Dawood Bazai, Secretary Energy GoB, attended the meeting on behalf of Government of Balochistan. Secretary Energy GoB, briefed the forum on the latest progress on solarization of tubewells and disconnections. The forum was informed by the Chair that remaining payment of PKR 16.1 billion will be placed before the ECC on Monday the 5th May 2025, for approval.
The chair further requested GoB to assist QESCO in dismantling and disconnections while at the same time engaged the zamindars for smooth implementation of the solarization processes.
On third party validation, the Secretary Energy further informed that third party validation for phase 1 has started since April 10th 2025 and final report will be submitted by May 15th 2025.
